H8/36049 Group has been developed as a version of the existing H8/3687 Group, but with enhanced peripheral functions and I/O, and is suitable for use in household appliances of advanced function, including indoor units of air conditioners needing motor control, etc. The device integrates a powerful three 16bit timers for control of the motor, which make it easy to control DC brush-less motors as well as for simultaneous control of plural DC motors. It has also three serial communication interface channels and a single I2 C bus interface, simplifying communication with external devices or other peripheral LSIs. Especially, since one of SCI channels has a noise canceller, it is possible to prevent communication data from crashing due to noise which may occur on the interface with an external system. With these features, you can reduce cost in system development. Package is available in an 80pin package with 0.65mm pitch, easy to mount on board. Furthermore the super low cost emulator, E8 supports on-chip debugging and on-chip programming environment.
